Hi guys, it's another blog entry from me, again... Anyway, one of the problems I faced at the start of the year that when I shifted from Bukit Panjang, to Fernwood Towers. When I shifted here, my brother needed to transfer school, as his former school was Bukit Panjang Primary School, and was too far away from our current location. So,he transferred to Temasek Primary School. On the first day of school when he came back, he started criticise Temasek Primary School. When my mum got back from work, things got worse. My brother started to wail and cry, stating how much he missed Bukit Panjang and how he did not like it here. My whole family tried to console him, but to no avail. He continued to cry and wail loudly.
Anyway, he went to school for the next few days, and after a week, the problem still persisted. Every time at night, my brother would cry and say how lousy Temasek Primary School was, and how Bukit Panjang Primary School was so much better. I think that it is because my father and I studied in Bukit Panjang Primary School, and my brother can feel some kind of 'connection' with the school, and now that he has moved to a different place, I think he needs sometime to settle and adapt to Temasek Primary School.
By the way, until now, my brother has not found any CCA yet, and he his targeting soccer, although my family does not approve of it. Actually, I am not sure why my brother is so persistent about joining soccer. In soccer, the risk of getting injured is pretty high, especially for a weak P3 boy like him, and I heard from Kai Jie that Temasek's soccer team is not that good, so why join? Anyway, i think that my brother is a very stubborn child. He keeps insisting that we shift back to Bukit Panjang when over here, everything is going well. He also keeps insisting that he wants to join that soccer team although we have told him about the disadvantages...
Anyway, how me and my family solved this problem was that we pampered him and bought toys and stuff for him so that he would get angry or upset, and believe it or not, it actually worked! In fact, he is not complaining about Temasek Primary School, anymore, and he actually likes it a little! Looks like that little bit of pampering and toys paid off! At least I can see my brother being happy every day...
